Job summary

Labcorp in Westminster, MD is hiring a Phlebotomist to join our patient service center. The role performs blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages and collects specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests.

You will enter patient information, process billing when required, prepare specimens for testing, maintain logs, and deliver exceptional customer service. With 8:00am-1:00pm Mon-Fri and alternating Saturdays, you may travel to additional sites

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3+ months experience.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Enter patient information accurately into systems.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen logs and records.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed.
