Job summary

Labcorp in Oxon Hill, MD is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in a Patient Service Center or Client office. You will perform blood collections, provide excellent customer service and be the face of Labcorp.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, phlebotomy certification or training, and the ability to work Monday–Friday 7:30 am–4:30 pm with rotating Saturdays. Eligibility for PST Incentive Plan and comprehensive benefits are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
