Job summary

Labcorp in Chesapeake, VA is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our Patient Service Center. You will perform skilled blood collections and provide exemplary customer service.

The role requires a high school diploma and phlebotomy certification or training; 1 year experience preferred. Schedule: Monday-Thursday 7:30am-4:30pm, rotating Saturdays; benefits include medical, dental, 401(k) and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification or training completed or 6 months’ experience as a phlebotomist.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification or training from an accredited program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
• Other Duties as assigned.
