Job summary

Labcorp in Oxon Hill, MD is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. You will perform skilled specimen collections, provide exceptional customer service, and be the face of the company in a patient-centered environment.

The role requires phlebotomy certification or equivalent training, with opportunities for growth within the organization. Schedule is Monday to Friday, 9:30am–6:00pm, and a strong emphasis on accurate data entry and patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Preferred: 6 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
