Job summary

Labcorp in Sterling, VA is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. The role involves blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages, data entry, and processing billing information.

It requires strong customer service focus and flexibility to travel to additional sites. The position offers a Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm schedule with opportunities for growth within Labcorp's extensive network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Demonstrated exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to travel to additional sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
