Job summary

Labcorp in Sterling, VA is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our patient-focused team. This full-time role operates Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, performing venipuncture and capillary collections for patients of all ages and ensuring accurate data entry and courteous service.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, a phlebotomy certification or training, or at least 3 months of phlebotomy experience; 1+ year experience is preferred. Training from an accredited program may qualify.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
