Job summary

Vogrinc Search Group in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Phlebotomist on a contract basis with a potential for permanent placement. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, with an initial projected duration of 3 months and potential extension.

The position requires oncology diagnostic phlebotomy experience and a valid state phlebotomy certification. Responsibilities include performing blood draws, labeling and transporting specimens, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring patient safety

Qualifications

• Valid state phlebotomy certification required.
• Minimum 6 months venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens.
• Centrifuge specimens and maintain data and documentation.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure specimen integrity.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients with courtesy.
• Verify test requisitions match specimens and labeling.
• Follow OSHA/DEP regulations and attend department trainings.
