Job summary

Horan Hiring Solutions, LLC in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Phlebotomist (6145) for a contract role with potential for permanent placement. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, with an estimated duration of 3 months and possibility of extension.

Minimum 1–2 years of oncology diagnostic phlebotomy experience is required. Responsibilities include blood draws, specimen handling, labeling, and maintaining records in a fast-paced lab setting, while complying with safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture procedures clearly and courteous to patients.
• Demonstrate technique with straight or butterfly needles.
• Ensure test requisitions match specimens and labels for accuracy.
• Package specimens for transport and store per protocol.
• Comply with OSHA/DEP regulations and attend trainings.
