Job summary

CareerNerds, LLC in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Phlebotomist (6145) for a contract position with potential for permanent placement. Schedule is Mon–Fri, 8:00am–5:00pm, for an estimated 3 months with possible extension.

The role includes performing blood draws, labeling and processing specimens, and maintaining accurate data. Oncology diagnostic phlebotomy experience and state phlebotomy certification are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state of employment.
• Minimum of 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws (venipuncture) and collect specimens.
• Label, centrifuge, and store specimens according to test orders.
• Record maintenance data and ensure specimen integrity.
• Explain venipuncture processes clearly and courteously to patients.
• Follow OSHA/DEP regulations and participate in trainings.
• Attend annual department trainings and assist with workflow improvements.
