Sun Recruiting, Inc. is seeking a Phlebotomist 6145 in San Antonio, TX for a contract role with potential for permanent placement. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, with a projected duration of 3 months and possibility to extend.

The ideal candidate has oncology diagnostic phlebotomy experience and a valid phlebotomy certification. Responsibilities include blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifugation, and accurate data recording while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

Formación

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsabilidades

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures and matches requisition forms to tubes.
• Explain venipuncture and specimen collection processes clearly and courteously to patients.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test orders; ensure 100% accuracy of requisitions.
• Comply with OSHA/DEP regulations and attend annual trainings; inventory and transport specimens as needed.
