Job summary

Tom Trese Networking LLC in San Antonio, TX seeks a Phlebotomist for a contract role with potential for permanent hire. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, with an expected duration of 3 months and possible extension. Previous oncology diagnostic phlebotomy experience is required.

Responsibilities include performing blood draws, labeling and processing specimens, maintaining records, and ensuring specimen integrity per protocol. Benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate technique with straight or butterfly needles as required.
• Ensure all test requisitions or computer labels match scripts for accuracy.
• Package specimens for transport and store per protocol.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual trainings.
• Answer telephone calls and read laboratory results to satisfy inquiries.
