Job summary

Essenti Talent is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role in San Antonio, TX. The shift runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with an initial duration of 3 months and potential for permanent placement.

Experience in oncology diagnostic phlebotomy is preferred. A valid phlebotomy certification is required, along with 6 months of venipuncture experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and specimen collection according to procedures.
• Label, centrifuge, and process specimens with accurate tracking.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients and maintain specimen integrity.
• Follow OSHA and DEP regulations and participate in department trainings.
• Answer inquiries and document maintenance data as required.
