Job summary

Software Placement Group is seeking a Phlebotomist to support laboratory operations on a contract basis with potential for permanent placement. The role is on-site in Thomasville, NC, with a Monday–Friday daytime schedule.

Responsibilities include venipuncture, specimen labeling, and data entry, while ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance. Requires state phlebotomy certification and at least 6 months of experience in a fast-paced lab.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state of employment.
• Minimum 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge specimens, and record maintenance and decontamination data.
• Update patient information and maintain accurate records.
• Collect and store specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process to patients clearly and courteously.
• Follow physicians' orders and lab protocols.
• Package specimens for transport and maintain specimen integrity.
