Job summary

Markent Personnel is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role in Shelby, NC, with a 7:30am–4:30pm schedule, Monday through Friday. The position runs for three months with potential for permanent placement, and benefits are available.

The ideal candidate will hold a valid phlebotomy certification, have at least 1 year of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting, and be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite for data entry and record keeping.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed is required.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and venipuncture procedures accurately.
• Label specimens and ensure correct patient identification.
• Centrifuge specimens and prepare them for testing.
• Record maintenance data and decontamination per protocol.
• Package specimens for transport and store according to temperature requirements.
