Job summary

Keystone Distinction Group is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role in Thomasville, NC, with a Mon-Fri 8am-5pm schedule. The position offers about 3 months of workload with potential for permanent placement.

Responsibilities include performing venipunctures, labeling and processing specimens, and ensuring proper handling and documentation. Experience in fast-paced labs or hospital settings is preferred, along with phlebotomy certification and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test orders.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper storage temperatures.
