Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at Main Street in Chester, MD. The role involves blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages, processing specimens, data entry, and ensuring accurate patient information while delivering excellent customer service.

You will gather specimens for various tests, handle billing duties as needed, and travel to additional sites as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Preferred: 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
