Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Jefferson City, MO is seeking a Phlebotomist II for a Monday to Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule, with Saturdays 8:00 AM–12:00 PM on a rotating basis every four weeks. The role involves collecting specimens, performing basic lab tasks, and using lab information systems.

Pay starts at $21.50 per hour. Successful candidates may be eligible for an annual performance bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record, if applicable.
• High school diploma or equivalent; phlebotomy certification preferred in some states.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens and biometric screenings.
• Administer oral solutions as trained.
• Research test/client information and confirm orders using lab systems and approved tools.
• Navigate computer systems and accurately enter data.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information; collect payments when required.
