Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Washington, DC area is seeking a Phlebotomist II to collect specimens and support patient services. Working Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with rotational weekend shifts. Salary range provided with annual performance bonus potential.

Responsibilities include operational lab duties, order verification, data entry, and patient interaction. A HS diploma and three years of phlebotomy experience are required; phlebotomy certification is preferred and may be

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience required.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screenings, exams).
• Administer oral solutions as trained.
• Verify orders using lab systems and client contact.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Obtain patient IDs and enter billing information per policy.
• Process specimens (labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, transport preparation).
• Perform non-patient facing duties (inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, phones, email).
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and training/compliance records.
