Octapharma Plasma, Inc. is hiring a Phlebotomist I to support plasma collection at our donation centers. You will perform venipunctures, prepare equipment, and ensure donor safety and a positive donor experience.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and the ability to follow strict procedures. Training and growth opportunities are highlighted, with a focus on quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certification/licensing per state requirements.
• Minimum three months’ experience in a medical or health care environment preferred.
• Documentation training completed before duties.
• Strong customer service skills required.
• Basic computer knowledge required.
• Ability to read/understand English protocols.
• Ability to work day/evening hours, weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations (FDA, OSHA, CLIA, GMP).
• Maintain donor experience and cleanliness.
• Set up and prepare equipment for venipuncture and plasmapheresis.
• Label units and samples accurately.
• Perform venipunctures and plasma collection.
• Operate plasmapheresis machines and monitor alarms.
• Monitor donor safety and plasma quality.
• Troubleshoot machine alarms and run QC routines.
• Maintain inventory and replenish supplies.
• Follow safety protocols for waste disposal.
