The role requires venipuncture experience, a valid phlebotomy certification, and a HS diploma. Travel, driving, and compliance with lab procedures are essential. Mileage is reimbursed and benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification required in the state of employment.
• Minimum 6 months' experience performing venipunctures in fast-paced labs or hospitals.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients and demonstrate technique.
• Match laboratory requisitions to specimen tubes to ensure accuracy.
• Store specimens per procedures and OSHA/DEP rules; maintain specimen integrity.
• Attend annual trainings and assist with workflow improvements.
