Job summary

Tom Trese Networking LLC is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role in the Austin, TX area with floating responsibility across locations. Work hours are 8am–5pm, Monday to Friday, with potential to cover additional daytime hours.

The assignment is projected for 3 months with a likelihood of permanency. The role requires phlebotomy certification, a minimum of 6 months’ venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws with venipuncture and butterfly needles.
• Label, centrifuge, and process specimens per protocol.
• Record maintenance data and trecord patient information accurately.
• Explain venipuncture procedure clearly to patients.
• Attend annual department trainings.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Check test requisitions for accuracy and package specimens for transport.
