Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and collect specimens; label and centrifuge as required.
• Record maintenance data and decontamination; update patient information.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients and demonstrate proper technique.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and package specimens for transport.
• Store specimens per protocol; ensure correct labeling and temperature requirements.
