Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state of employment.
• Minimum 6 months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge and maintain data.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Demonstrate technique with needles as required.
• Match requisitions to specimens and prepare for transport.
• Check test requisitions against scripts for accuracy.
• Store and label specimens, ensuring proper temperature control.
• Attend trainings and comply with OSHA/DEP regulations.
• Answer calls and relay results as needed.
