Job summary

RON SUNSHINE ASSOCIATES LLC is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract position in Imperial, CA and surrounding areas. The role is float-based, with hours from 6 AM to 6 PM, M-F, and a projected duration of 3 months with a potential for permanent placement. Pay ranges from $23.00 to $25.00 per hour depending on experience.

Travel to Brawley and Calexico areas is included. A clean driving record and reliable transportation are required, with mileage expenses paid.

Qualifications

• Certified phlebotomist as required by state where employed.
• Minimum 6 months venipuncture experience in fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and collect specimens, label and centrifuge as required.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Demonstrate technique using various needle types.
• Match lab requisitions to specimens and package for transport.
• Verify test requisitions against scripts to ensure accuracy.
• Store specimens at required temperatures and label appropriately.
