Job summary

SPG in Austin, TX is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract assignment that floats across multiple Austin-area sites to collect blood samples, label specimens, and ensure accurate documentation while delivering compassionate patient care.

The position requires a valid Phlebotomy certification, 6 months of venipuncture experience, and basic MS Office skills; on-site schedule Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm, with mileage reimbursement and benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state of employment.
• Minimum 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Clean driving record and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge specimens, and record maintenance and decontamination data.
• Update patient information and maintain accurate records.
• Float between multiple locations in the Austin area as assigned.
• Follow OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual department trainings.
