Aspire Talent Solutions is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract-based role in the Austin, TX area with a float across locations. Schedule is typically Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm, with potential for additional daytime hours. Projected duration is 3 months with potential for permanent placement. The role involves blood draws, specimen handling, and adherence to OSHA/DEP regulations. Valid phlebotomy certification and 6 months' experience required.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and related specimen handling.
• Label and store specimens per procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously; demonstrate technique as required.
• Understand physicians' orders and match requisitions to specimens.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper labeling and temperatures.
• Attend annual department trainings and satisfy inquiries.
