Ridgemont Resources, Inc. in Newberg, OR is seeking a contract Phlebotomist to support the lab with blood draws and specimen handling. Schedule is M-F 7am-3:30pm with rotating Saturdays, and the assignment lasts about 3 months with potential for permanent placement.

The role requires hands-on venipuncture experience, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to document procedures and results accurately. Benefits are available.

Formación

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsabilidades

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously; demonstrate techniques using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
• Ensure sample labeling, centrifugation, splitting and freezing per test order and requisitions.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper temperature storage.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations and participate in annual trainings.
• Answer inquiries and communicate test results to requesting staff.
