Job summary

Management Performance Associates is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role in Washington, DC. The 3-month assignment may convert to permanent for strong performers.

Responsibilities include performing venipuncture draws, labeling and processing specimens, and adhering to safety and regulatory guidelines. Schedule is Mon–Fri, 8am–5pm, with benefits available. The position requires comfort with hard draws and geriatric patients.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification as required in some states.
• Minimum 5 work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and venipuncture with accuracy and safety.
• Label, centrifuge, and process specimens following established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture procedure clearly to patients and caregivers.
• Maintain proper specimen labeling and ensure chain-of-custody as required.
