Job summary

Management Performance Associates is seeking a phlebotomist in Washington DC for a contract role with potential for permanent placement. The position requires experience in blood draws, especially with geriatric patients, and involves hospital-style duties.

Schedule is 7am-4pm on weekdays with Saturday half-day (7:30am-11:30am). Projected duration is 3 months with a possibility to extend or convert to permanent. Benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification as required in the employment state.
• Minimum of 5 work experience performing venipunctures in fast-paced settings.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain clearly and courteously the venipuncture process and specimen collection.
• Match lab requisition forms to tubes and prepare specimens for testing.
• Ensure correct labeling, centrifuging, and transport packaging of specimens.
• Follow OSHA and DEP regulations and attend trainings.
