Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state of employment.
Minimum 6 months' venipuncture in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
Minimum 1 year of experience.
Geriatric experience required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

Perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge specimens, and record maintenance data.
Update patient information as needed.
Collect and store specimens according to procedures and test orders.
Explain venipuncture and specimen collection to patients clearly and courteously.
Follow OSHA and DEP regulations and maintain specimen integrity during transport.
Attend annual department trainings and support training for others.
