Confident Search Consultants is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role in Draper, UT. The position requires performing blood draws, labeling, centrifuging specimens, and maintaining accurate patient data in a fast-paced lab setting.

Schedule is 7am-3:30pm, Monday through Friday, with a 3-month base duration and potential for permanent placement. Responsibilities include specimen collection, proper labeling, temperature control, and adherence to OSHA/DEP regulations.

Formación

• Phlebotomy certification active where employed (state requirements).
• Minimum 6 months venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; High School Diploma or GED.
• 6 months to 1 year of related experience.

Responsabilidades

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures; explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate technique using straight and butterfly needles.
• Understand physicians' orders; match requisitions to specimen tubes; label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required.
• Check test requisitions against scripts to ensure accuracy.
• Package specimens for transport.
• Store specimen samples per required temperature and protocol; follow OSHA and DEP regulations.
• Attend annual department trainings.
• Answer calls and read lab results to address inquiries.
