Job summary

Calqulate Metrics Ltd in Draper, Utah is seeking a contract Phlebotomist for a 3-month engagement with potential for permanent placement. Schedule is 7am-3:30pm, Monday to Friday, in a clinical lab setting.

Responsibilities include blood draws, specimen labeling, handling and documentation, with geriatric experience preferred. Requires certification and at least 6 months of venipuncture experience; benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year of experience

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Package specimens for transport and maintain specimen integrity.
• Ensure test requisitions match documents and comply with OSHA regulations.
• Attend annual department trainings.
• Answer inquiries by telephone and review lab results.
