Professional Recruiting Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role in Draper, Utah. The job involves blood draws, specimen labeling, and handling, with a focus on accuracy and adherence to procedures.

The schedule is 7am-3:30pm, Mon-Fri, with a potential path to permanent placement. Qualified candidates will have a valid phlebotomy certification, at least 6 months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting, and a high school diploma or GED.

Formación

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsabilidades

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures. Explains the venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate technique/s using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
• Understand physician orders; match lab requisition forms to tubes; label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
• Check all test requisitions or computer labels for accuracy.
• Package specimens for transport and store samples per protocol.
• Attend annual department trainings and answer inquiries.
