Job summary

RON SUNSHINE ASSOCIATES LLC in Baltimore, MD seeks a contract Phlebotomist for 3 months with potential permanent placement. Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm, plus one Saturday per month 8:00am-2:30pm.

Responsibilities include performing blood draws, labeling and transporting specimens, using proper safety procedures, and documenting results. Minimum 6 months venipuncture experience, valid state phlebotomy certification, and proficiency with Microsoft Office are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Decontaminate and store specimens according to procedures.
• Update patient information and match requisition forms to specimens.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure sample integrity.
• Follow OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual trainings.
