Job summary

Professional Recruiting Consultants, Inc. seeks a Phlebotomist for a 3-month contract in Baltimore, MD, with potential for permanent placement.Responsibilities include blood draws, labeling, centrifuging specimens, and maintaining accurate records while following safety protocols.

The role requires 2-4 years of diagnostic phlebotomy experience across pediatric to geriatric patients, certification, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Schedule is Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm with one Saturday per month.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of diagnostic phlebotomy experience required.
• Experience performing venipunctures with straight or butterfly needles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure specimen integrity.
• Understand and comply with OSHA and DEP regulations.
• Attend annual department trainings and manage inquiries from results.
