Job summary

CareerNerds, LLC seeks a Phlebotomist in Baltimore, MD for a 3-month contract with potential for permanent placement. The role requires 2–4 years of diagnostic phlebotomy experience across pediatric to geriatric patients and involves duties from blood draws to specimen handling and data entry.

Schedule is Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm with occasional Saturday coverage. Minimum qualifications include valid Phlebotomy certification, at least 6 months venipuncture experience in a fast-paced environment, and

Qualifications

• Experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Strong labeling, tracking and data recording skills.
• Ability to explain venipuncture procedures clearly and courteously.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and collect specimens per protocol.
• Label, centrifuge, and store specimens as required.
• Document maintenance data and decontamination procedures.
• Explain procedures to patients in a clear and courteous manner.
• Ensure proper packaging and transport of specimens.
