Job summary

Connectly Recruiting is seeking a contracted Phlebotomist in Baltimore, MD. The role requires 2–4 years of diagnostic phlebotomy experience, pediatric to geriatric, with a schedule Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm and one Saturday per month.

Projected duration is 3 months with potential for permanent placement. Responsibilities include performing blood draws, labeling and centrifuging specimens, documenting maintenance data, updating patient information, and ensuring proper transport.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Decontaminate equipment and update patient information.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper labeling.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and department trainings.
• Answer calls and report lab results as needed.
