Job summary

Under supervision, you will follow physician orders in the LIS, document patient demographics, manage specimen processing, and maintain phlebotomy supplies and safety standards while delivering compassionate, professional patient care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of laboratory experience including phlebotomy and EKG.
• ASCP or NCA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently obtain venous blood specimens from patients.
• Follow physician orders in the Laboratory computer system.
• Document patient demographics and insurance information accurately.
• Perform phlebotomy and EKG on outpatients.
• Maintain phlebotomy supplies and equipment.
• Assist with training new staff and ensuring safety/compliance.
