Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital Milton, Inc. is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist who will accurately collect venous and capillary specimens, perform EKGs, and support the Laboratory in processing tests.

Under supervision, you will follow physician orders, document patient information, manage specimen transport, and maintain safety standards. Weekend and holiday rotations are expected. This role requires organization, attention to detail, and strong communication with patients and staff.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of applicable experience in a laboratory setting including phlebotomy and EKG experience.
• Nationally recognized certification such as ASCP or NCA equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately obtain venous blood specimens from patients.
• Perform phlebotomy and EKGs on outpatients.
• Follow physician orders in the Laboratory computer system.
• Prepare and transport specimens and document information per policy.
• Maintain phlebotomy supplies and equipment; ensure a clean work area.
