Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center is hiring a part-time phlebotomist to perform venipunctures, fingersticks, and specimen labeling with strict patient ID controls. You will transport specimens, assist with QA and training, and collaborate with internal and external clients to ensure high-quality lab services.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and is comfortable communicating with patients and colleagues.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• ASCP Registration preferred; NCA Certification preferred.
• 0–1 years related work experience required.
• Basic familiarity with computers and basic web-based apps.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipunctures, including fingersticks, with correct ID/labeling.
• Perform bleeding times according to SOPs.
• Transport specimens to appropriate laboratories.
• Assist with supply stocking and report needs to leadership.
• Maintain professional relations with patients and staff.
