Job summary

Milton Hospital is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our Laboratory team. Under supervision, you will accurately obtain venous or capillary blood specimens, transport them to the laboratory, and complete all associated documentation in the Laboratory system.

This role requires a High School diploma or GED, 1 year of lab experience including phlebotomy and EKG, and ASCP/NCA certification is preferred. You may work every other weekend nights and holiday rotation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of applicable experience in a laboratory setting including phlebotomy and EKG.
• ASCP or NCA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately obtain venous or capillary blood specimens from patients.
• Identify patient according to policy before collection.
• Perform EKGs on outpatients.
• Maintain phlebotomy supplies and equipment.
• Document results and patient information accurately.
• Assist with training new staff on phlebotomy techniques.
