Job summary

St. Luke’s University Health Network seeks a Phlebotomist to provide patient-centered laboratory support across Patient Service Center settings. You will collect blood specimens, ensure accurate patient identification and labeling, and support Epic registration and related workflows to maintain high-quality patient care.

The role requires phlebotomy competency (minimum 100 venipures) and strong customer service, with work across neonatal to geriatric populations in a fast-paced PSC environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Phlebotomy program completion certificate or documented competency with at least 100 venipunctures.
• Basic computer skills with ability to use Epic or other electronic health record systems, registration tools, kiosks, and related laboratory applications.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient-centered registration, laboratory, and diagnostic services in PSC settings while maintaining professionalism, service excellence, patient safety, confidentiality, and compliance with Network and departmental standards.
• Performs blood specimen collection from patients across all age groups using venipuncture, capillary collection, and heel sticks.
• Accurately labels specimens and follows proper handling, safety, and infection prevention procedures.
• Maintains competency for venipuncture and related workflows, including registration and EHR documentation.
