Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Westwood, NJ is seeking a day-shift, PRN phlebotomist to join our laboratory team. The phlebotomist will perform venipuncture, capillary draws, and specimen collection while adhering to safety and accuracy standards.

Requirements include a high school diploma, completion of an accredited phlebotomy program with clinicals or relevant experience, and national phlebotomy certification. Prior clinical setting experience is preferred; rate of pay is based on experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited phlebotomy program with clinicals or prior phlebotomy experience.
• Certification from a nationally recognized agency: CPT (NHA), PBT (ASCP), RPT (AMT), NCPT (NCCT), CPT (ACA).
• Basic computer skills and strong customer service abilities.
• Experience in clinical settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture, capillary draws, urine collection, and specimen culture collection per protocol.
• Follow proper specimen labeling, handling, and transport procedures.
• Maintain patient safety, privacy, and infection control standards.
• Document procedures and communicate effectively with lab and healthcare teams.
