Strong customer service skills and prior phlebotomy experience are preferred; High school diploma required and formal phlebotomy training is mandated. Certification such as ASCP/NHA/AMT is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent and formal phlebotomy training.
• ASCP, NHA or AMT certification preferred.
• Previous phlebotomy experience in a medical setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Phlebotomy including patient identification and specimen labeling.
• Specimen verification, processing, shipment and instrument loading.
• Pre-analytical tasks such as registration and ordering.
• Provide excellent customer service with clear communication.
• Perform clerical duties including phone calls and report generation.
