Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in West New York, NJ. The role involves performing venipuncture and capillary blood collection, processing specimens, and delivering excellent patient service in a clinic or PSP setting.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, 6 months of phlebotomy experience (1 year preferred), and a phlebotomy certification or accredited training. Schedule is Monday–Friday, with potential overtime and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 6 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
