Job summary

Summit Health in New Jersey is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician to join our physician-led lab team. You will draw blood cultures using aseptic technique, process specimens, and support urgent care and satellite locations.

The role requires at least two years of phlebotomy experience, HIPAA knowledge, and solid data-entry skills. Certification is preferred (NHA), with CLA also valued. You will handle urine and stool collections, 24-hour samples, and H. pylori breath tests.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of phlebotomy experience.
• Certification preferred: NHA Phlebotomy Technician; CLA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draws blood cultures using aseptic technique.
• Processes Stat specimens according to Summit Health SOP.
• Collects urine and stool samples, including 24-hour collections.
• Administers and collects H. pylori Breath tests.
• Ensures proper labeling and documentation of specimens.
