Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 5 work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens according to procedure.
• Collect, label, and centrifuge specimens and maintain patient information.
• Explain procedures clearly and courteously to patients.
• Demonstrate venipuncture techniques with straight or butterfly needles.
• Follow physician orders and match requisitions to specimens.
• Package specimens for transport and store samples per protocol.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations and attend trainings.
• Answer inquiries and communicate results to relevant staff.
