Job summary

RRC Solutions Group is seeking a Phlebotomist for a 3-month contract in Washington, DC (Georgia Ave NW). Schedule is Mon–Fri, 8am–5pm, with potential for permanent employment. Responsibilities include blood draws, specimen labeling, and handling of lab samples; appropriate certifications and 5+ years venipuncture experience required.

Benefits are available; must be comfortable working with geriatric patients and hard draws. Location is on-site in Washington DC with routine department trainings.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification as required by state
• Minimum 5 years venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital
• High School Diploma or GED
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients
• Package specimens for transport and maintain specimen integrity
• Attend annual department trainings
• Answer inquiries and review results
