Eden Capital Careers is seeking a phlebotomist for a contract role in Washington, DC. Schedule: 7am-4pm Monday to Friday, Saturdays 7:30-11:30am, for an initial 3-month term with potential to convert to permanent.

Responsibilities include performing blood draws, labeling, centrifuging, maintaining records, and communicating clearly with patients, including geriatric patients. Must have phlebotomy certification and relevant experience.

Competenze

• 5+ years of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant phlebotomy experience.

Mansioni

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling, centrifuging, and data recording.
• Collects and stores specimens according to procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Demonstrate proper technique with needles.
• Understand physicians' orders.
• Match requisitions to specimens and prepare for transport.
• Check test requisitions for accuracy.
• Package specimens for transport.
• Store samples per protocol to maintain integrity; comply with OSHA/DEP.
• Attend annual department trainings.
• Answer calls and read lab results to respond to inquiries.
