Ridgemont Resources, Inc. is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role in Washington DC. The position runs Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, with an anticipated 3-month duration and potential conversion to permanent employment.

The role requires hands-on venipuncture experience, proper labeling, and adherence to safety protocols. Benefits are available, and the team will support competency in specimen collection and processing.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification as required by the state of employment.
• Minimum of 5 years venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Demonstrate technique with straight and butterfly needles.
• Understand physicians' orders and ensure test requisitions match labels.
• Package specimens for transport and store per protocol to maintain specimen integrity.
• Adhere to OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual trainings.
• Answer inquiries and communicate test results as needed.
